About The Equalizer
The publication is established to promote responsible journalism by providing timely news and liberating articles to distribute to everyone on the college community and even to the people of Mabalacat City. The Equalizer will serve as a channel for expressing ideas and opinions and providing relevant information, documenting significant events, and upholding freedom of speech with regard to the college community.
Our History
In fulfillment to the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, which states that “It is declared policy of the State to uphold and protect the freedom of the press even at the campus level and to promote the development and growth of campus journalism as a means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking, and developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth,” Mabalacat City College has approved the establishment of THE EQUALIZER as its official student publication on the year 2009 under the Republic Act 7079.
