The final tally for the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Special Election for Academic Year (A.Y.) 2026-2027 has been released, recording a remarkable 75.44% voter turnout.
This election marks the highest recorded voter participation in recent years highlighting MCCians' diverse voices and determination for the betterment of the year ahead.
Out of 4,434 enrolled students, a total of 3,345 participated in the Special Election. This historic turnout stands as an expression of the students' voices, choices, and determination for the brighter incoming academic year.
The Institute of Arts and Sciences (IAS) recorded the highest turnout at 92.92%, with a total of 223 out of 240 enrolled students participating.
The Institute of Computing Studies (ICS) followed with 82.92%, or 364 out of 439 voters.
The Institute of Business Education (IBE) marked 78.31% students participation, with 1,065 out of 1,350 enrolled students.
The Institute of Teacher Education (ITE) had 72.35% participation, with 1,052 out of 1,454 enrolled students.
Lastly, The Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM) logged 68.12% of students participation, with a total of 641 out of 941 students.
